Driven by a deep curiosity about life science research, I developed my skills through various studies on cancer therapeutics at the research institute where I worked after completing my master's degree. More recently, I became keenly interested in treatments for brain-related diseases, and I joined this lab with a strong desire to pursue research in this area.
In particular, I hope to investigate the complexity of neurological disorders by using 2D and 3D platforms composed of iPSC-derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia. Through these systems, I aim to uncover the fundamental principles of intercellular communication in the brain, identify the key functional abnormalities that drive disease, and explore whether these can be leveraged as therapeutic targets.
