Jeongmin Seo
Research Question:
Understanding the role of microglia in Alzheimer's disease using human pluripotent stem cells
Jeongmin is an undergraduate student majoring in Life Sciences at Chung-Ang University.
She has had a longstanding interest in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. Motivated by a desire to uncover fundamental solutions to AD, she has chosen to pursue a path in neuroscience.
She has taken a leading role in organizing and directing prominent student-led academic activities in neuroscience. Through these experiences, she developed a clear goal: development of patient-customized Alzheimer's treatment using induced pluripotent stem cells, which ultimately led her to join the Yoo Lab.
