Dohyeon Kim

Dohyeon Kim is an undergraduate student majoring in Biotechnology at Korea University. He has maintained a consistent interest in the human immune system and various disease-treatment mechanisms based on immunology, leading him to complete a winter internship program at Korea University's Immunology Laboratory.

To deepen his understanding of microglia, the resident immune cells of the brain, Dohyeon joined the Yoo Lab in February 2026. He is particularly focused on research involving microglial turnover and functional restoration as a therapeutic approach to central nervous system diseases. He is deepening his academic knowledge and gaining hands-on research experience in this field.
